Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-11
By signing in to or using H4Path, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use H4Path.
1. What H4Path is
H4Path helps H-4, L-2 and O-3 dependent students and families understand how individual schools handle admissions classification, tuition residency and financial-aid eligibility. It gives cited answers drawn from a curated database of school policies, an AI assistant and a moderated community forum.
2. Not legal, immigration or financial advice
H4Path gives general information only. It is not legal, immigration, visa, tax or financial advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship. School policies and laws change, and each school decides how its rules apply to you. Always confirm decisions with the school's admissions, registrar or financial-aid office. For immigration questions, talk to a qualified immigration attorney.
3. AI can make mistakes
H4Path's AI assistant can be wrong. It can misread a policy, miss a recent change, or state something confidently that isn't true. Its answers include citations so you can check them, and you should check the cited source before relying on any answer. The same applies to AI-checked forum answers: verification lowers the chance of errors but doesn't remove it.
4. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. H4Path uses only your name and email address to sign you in. It never asks about your visa or immigration status. You're responsible for activity on your account. If you are under 18, please use H4Path with a parent's or guardian's permission.
5. Your questions and posts
- Questions to the AI assistant are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate answers. Don't include sensitive personal details, such as passport numbers, visa or case numbers, or financial account details.
- Forum posts can be seen by other H4Path users. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you allow H4Path to display, moderate and use it to improve answers on H4Path.
- Posts may be edited, hidden or removed by moderators, and accounts that break these rules may be suspended.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use H4Path to:
- post false, misleading, harassing or discriminatory content;
- share other people's personal information;
- impersonate anyone;
- try to break, overload, scrape or misuse the service;
- present H4Path's answers as official statements by a school or government agency.
7. Content and links
Policy information and citations come from public school and government sources, which belong to their owners. H4Path isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any school or government agency unless stated. H4Path doesn't control linked third-party sites and isn't responsible for them.
8. No warranty
H4Path is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. It may change, pause or stop features at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, H4Path and its maintainers are not liable for any loss or damage from using or relying on H4Path. That includes decisions about applications, tuition, residency or aid.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date will show when. If you keep using H4Path after an update, you accept the new terms.
